Sri Raghavendra Swamy Prarthana Mandir
Home of Mantralaya Guru Raghavendra Swamy in Australia.
We, Sri Raghavendra Swamy Prarthana Mandir (SRSPMM), are a young organisation, formed in February 2019 in Melbourne when the pontiff of SRS Mutt His Holiness Sri Subudendra Theertha Swamy blessed us with the Chara Brindavana ,a silver replica of the Moola Brindavana in Mantralaya and guided us to bring it to Melbourne for worship, after it was kept at the main altar in Mantralaya.
We are indeed blessed to have the divine presence of our Guru Raghavendra Swamy in the form of the Brindavana to which we have been offering puja every day. His Holiness further blessed us with the idol of Sri Prahlada Raja which was also brought to Melbourne as traditionally we pray both to the Guru and Sri Prahalada Raja.

History of SRSPMM
With the grace of Sri Guru Raghavendra Swamy and blessings of His Holiness Sri Subudendra Theertha Swamy, we are delighted to be the first centre of the revered Mantralaya Sri Raghavendra Swamy (SRS) Mutt in the Southern Hemisphere. As part of the Global Outreach Program the SRS Mutt has established 3 other centres in London (UK), Boston (USA) and Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia).
Sri Guru Raghavendra Swamy (1595–1671) is one of the greatest saints from the lineage of Acharya Shree Madhwa’s Dvaita philosophy. His total conviction in the supremacy of Shree Vishnu, his love for the learned, his sincere care for those who approached him for relief from their troubles and uplift them towards the spiritual path is unmatched. The Guru ascended Brindavana at Mantralaya in present day Andhra Pradesh in 1671 and continues to bless his devotees who pray him with sincerity and devotion. Guru Raghavendra Swamy is the incarnation of Sri Prahalada Raja – the young boy whose unshakable devotion in the Lord compelled the Lord to appear in the most unusual half-man half-lion form of Lord Narasimha to grace his dear devotee and dispel the danger to him. Guru Raghavendra Swamy (fondly referred to as Guru Rayaru) does the same to his devotees – he takes innumerable forms and showers us with his boundless blessings in return for just our seva (service) to him and his Devotees. He is rightfully called as Kalpavruksha Kamadenu (symbolic of the holy tree and divine cow that eternally grant whatever we wish).
SRS MATHA – THE GENESIS
Whatever be the claims of many other Mutts, Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt has been adored and heralded as the Main Mula Mutt in the tradition of Sri Madhwacharya.
It is in Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt, that the Vigraha of Sri MulaRama, originally worshipped by Sri Chaturmukha Brahma, the Vigraha of Sri Digvijaya Rama, originally worshipped by Sri Madhvacharya, the Vigraha of Sri JayaRama, originally worshipped by Sri Jayatirtha, are being worshipped with devotion and gaiety, by the various Pontiffs, of this Parampara.
There are many other Mutts, in the space of Madhva Philosophy, engaged in the tasks of propagating Madha Philosophy among the masses. To name only a few, these are the following: Ashtha Mathas (Eight Mutts) of Udupi owing their origination to the eight direct disciples of Sri Madhvacharya, Sri Sriapdaraja Mutt, deriving its name from its prominent Guru of its parampara, viz. Sri Sripadarajaru, Sri Vyasaraya Mutt, deriving its name from the illustrious guru of its parampara, viz. Sri Vyasaraya, and Sri Uttaradi Mutt, recognising its origination to Sri Vidyanidhi Tirtha and having Sri Raghuttama Tirtharu, as one of its prominent Pontiffs..
The total of Madhwa disciples’ population, is spread over these different Mutts, as per their prime affiliation.
It is worth noting that almost all Madhva devotees are the disciples of Sri Raghavendra Tirtharu, in so far as they seek the fulfilment of their worldly wishes, from the grace of Sri Raghavendra Tirtharu and also to the extent they seek knowledge from the profound Granthas of Sri Raghavendra Tirtharu.
We pray Sri Raghavendra Tirtha, known as Kaliyuga Kamadhenu and Kaliyuga Kalpataru, to bestow His Grace on all His Devotees, for the fulfilment of their wishes and thereby for serving the cause of Human Happiness and Spiritual Realisation.
